MINDBLOWING MONDAYS

23 MARCH 1-2PM

Hailing from Kenya, Mugendi M’Rithaa is an industrial designer, educator and researcher at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT). He is passionate about socially conscious design, and has a special interest in the pivotal role of design in advancing the developmental agenda on the African continent. Mugendi is going to take you on an exploratory visual journey of the kaleidoscope that is African creativity.

When you’re a 21-year old who’s already made it into the Forbes 30 under 30 - Africa’s Best Young Entrepreneurs – then you must be doing something special! Sizwe Nzima started Iyeza Express, a social enterprise that uses pedal power to collect and deliver medicine to township folk at a cost of just R10. His business is a real expression of African potential, so don’t miss this inspirational example.

NB: Pop-up Class in “The Change Room” (yellow curtain) @ The Leslie Social Sciences Building/Mezzanine Level.
